Born
in Helena and raised in High Ore, Rusty attended kindergarten through high
school in Boulder. He then ventured down to Nevada, working a corporate job
with the mines and traveling all over the west coast. After having children,
Jefferson County drew him back home. It is here where he began his successful
business adventures. Crediting his foundation to 4H, along with his father as a
business partner, Rusty was able to purchase the historical Franchi’s Corner,
which now hosts a coffee shop, gym, ice cream shop and more. He then purchased
The Windsor Bar, a dream for him, along with land and business developments,
excavation, contracting and mining companies, all while keeping his father’s
business Giulio Disposal successful. His efforts to give back to the community
came to fruition when he became Mayor in 2018, a respected elected position.
Out of all of Rusty’s successes, he’s most proud of his four daughters, all running booming businesses and giving back to the community in their own ways. Rusty’s life motto is an important one to share. He says, if something goes wrong, always stay positive and keep moving forward, it will always work out. Thank you, Rusty, for playing a vital role in the Fair and Rodeo and Boulder’s community
